Bauer House
A floating space over a cliff in Scotland, this is a weekend house designed for Alf Bauer and his wife Tine, both German scientists. This refuge has strong links with the site: bluish stones and endless views towards the misty Nordic Ocean make the place quite bizarre, as the space itself that "moves together with the wind" (more than with the land). The inner space is divided only in two: a small private room for resting and a large living area composed by the eating, reading and playing areas. A spiral steel/bronze spiral staircase goes to the basement, a large "usquebaugh" (whisky) cellar. The building develops concrete and steel structures and it is covered and wrapped by different kind of nordic wood, aluminium and cooper.   DE   EN   ES   FR
